The short version

  • You can use every Aplomia tool without creating an account.
  • We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank account, full name, address, or phone number.
  • If you give us your email (optional), we use it to email you your result and occasional follow-ups. You can unsubscribe in one click.
  • We do not sell or share your data with data brokers, marketers, or advertisers.
  • You can request deletion of any data tied to your email at any time.

What we collect

Tool inputs and outputs

When you run a tool, we store the values you entered and the result we calculated. This is tied to a session token kept in an HTTP-only cookie in your browser — not to your identity. The session token is a random UUID and cannot be linked back to you by anyone except you.

We store this so we can do useful things across tools — for example, pre-filling your monthly income in the Cash Flow Lens from your earlier Paycheck Snapshot run. Anonymous tool sessions are deleted after 90 days.

Email (if you provide it)

If you submit your email to receive a result or follow-up, we store it alongside the relevant session(s). We use this only to send you the result you requested and occasional related content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Site analytics

We use a privacy-conscious analytics tool (PostHog) to understand which tools and pages people use, where users get stuck, and what to improve. Analytics are anonymous unless you submit your email — at which point we associate your analytics events with that email so we can understand your journey across visits.

What we don't collect

  • Bank account numbers, routing numbers, or any financial-institution credentials
  • Social Security numbers or tax identification numbers
  • Your full name, mailing address, or phone number
  • Government-issued ID

What we don't do with your data

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share your data with data brokers, advertisers, or marketers.
  • We do not allow third parties to use your data to build profiles of you.

Affiliate links and partner placements

Some content on Aplomia includes links to financial products from partners. When you click one of those links and complete an action with the partner, Aplomia may earn a commission. The partner does not receive your data from us as a result of you visiting the link — clicking through is the same as visiting their site directly from any other source. Any data the partner collects after the click is subject to their privacy policy.

Affiliate placements are visibly labeled and never affect our tool calculations, scenario interpretation, or routing between tools.

How to request deletion

Email us at brendan@aplomia.comwith the email address you used to sign up. We'll confirm and delete all data associated with that email within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and post a notice. For changes that meaningfully expand how we use your data, we'll also email anyone who has provided us an email address.
