The terms that apply when you use Aplomia.

1. What Aplomia is

Aplomia LLC (“Aplomia,” “we,” “us”) is a consumer financial decision-support platform. We provide free tools and educational content to help households work through everyday money questions.

Aplomia is not a financial advisor, planner, lender, broker, or tax advisor. We are not a fiduciary. We do not provide personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. See our full disclaimer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Aplomia. By using the site, you affirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Permitted use

You may use Aplomia's tools and content for your own personal financial planning. You may share results with your own advisors, family members, or partners. You may NOT:

  • Use Aplomia in a way that violates any law or regulation.
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract Aplomia's tools or content for commercial purposes.
  • Embed Aplomia's tools on another website without our written permission (we do offer partner embedding — contact us).
  • Interfere with the site's normal operation (e.g. automated abuse, denial-of-service attempts).
  • Misrepresent Aplomia's results as personalized financial advice.

4. Accuracy and limitations

We make a best effort to keep our calculation engine and data up to date with current tax rules, but tax law is complex and changes annually. Every numeric result on Aplomia is an estimate based on the inputs you provided and the data we have on hand. Your actual result may differ — sometimes meaningfully — based on factors we don't model (local taxes, multiple jobs, complex deductions, payroll-provider rules, etc.). Each tool page describes what it does and doesn't account for; review that before relying on a result.

Always confirm important decisions with a qualified tax, financial, or legal professional.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Some content on Aplomia includes links to financial products from partners. When you click such a link and complete an action with the partner, Aplomia may earn a commission. This may influence which partners we choose to include over time, but commissions never affect tool calculations, scenario interpretation, or which tool we route you to next. Affiliate placements are labeled.

6. Intellectual property

All Aplomia content, code, design, and branding is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive license to use it for your own purposes, not a transfer of ownership.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Aplomia is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express, implied, statutory) — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for any decision you make based on results from our tools. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of Aplomia will not exceed $100.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the “Last updated” date at the top when we do. Material changes will be announced via a notice on the site and, where appropriate, by email to people who have given us their email.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Delaware / California / TBD pending business formation], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be brought in the courts of [TBD].
